Oil companies have to clean up
In the 4th quarter of 2007, Oil companies posted their highest profits in history. Yet 20 years after the Exxon Valdez oil spill, these same companies are refusing 14-year-old court orders to pay victims that were devastated by that oil spill. Today, 20% of the people who were suppose to receive money have passed away, while profits for oil companies are up almost 20% from that time. You know, for some reason I don't think these guys would be making these record profits if they had to take responsibility for their actions.
